Developers from Frostburn Studios have announced the end of support for the once-popular MOBA game Heroes of Newerth.
The team announced this on the official page of the game on Facebook. The servers for this game will be shut down on June 20, 2022. Also, from December 31, the ability to create new accounts will be disabled.
From December 20 to February 19, a farewell event will be launched in the game, which will increase the number of silver coins received and the drop of rare items from chests. All products from the Heros of Newerth store will be available for purchase free of charge.
Despite fierce competition from such giants of the genre as Dota 2 and League of Legends, the game still managed to survive for more than ten years and even host several major esports tournaments. Frostburn Studios stopped releasing content updates for the game back in 2019.
We remind you that Heroes of Newerth is a MOBA game. The official release of the game took place in 2010. The gameplay was based on the popular custom map “Dota”, where players fought in teams of 5 against each other.
