The Consumer Electronics Show 2022 (CES 2022 for short) ended in Las Vegas. In 2021 it was held completely online, but this time the real pavilions returned. However, in a severely reduced format: in the U.S. there is a new wave of coronavirus, so some participants held presentations remotely, and the event itself ended a day earlier than planned. Intel Alder Lake
At CES 2022, Intel unveiled the Alder Lake family of mobile processors. It included 28 models with up to 14 cores (6P+8E) and up to 5.0 GHz. Alder Lake gaming notebooks will be available later in February and thinner models will be available in the first quarter. In addition, Intel has introduced 22 desktop processors of the Alder Lake family for the mass market. They do not support overclocking and are included in all available series, from Core i9 to Celeron. Also introduced was the overclocking 16-core Core i9-12900KS processor with up to 5.5GHz on single-core load and up to 5.2GHz on all-core load. Finally, Intel has officially announced that it will begin shipping Intel Arc Alchemist graphics cards to OEM partners. The cards will be used in more than 50 mobile and desktop models.
NVIDIA Gaming Graphics Cards
NVIDIA introduced an affordable GeForce RTX 3050 gaming graphics card for $249. NVIDIA also showed its flagship graphics card, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, with 11 percent more performance than the RTX 3090. Finally, at its presentation, NVIDIA unveiled the powerful GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti mobile graphics cards.
Aya Neo Next handheld console
Aya has unveiled a new generation of handheld gaming console Aya Neo Next. The new console will be powered by the Ryzen 7 5800U processor with eight cores and 16 threads. For graphics is responsible for the built-in solution from Vega. Depending on the model, there will be 16 or 32 GB of RAM inside.
PlayStation VR 2. The new virtual reality helmet
There have been rumors about a new VR-helmet from Sony for a long time, and at CES 2022 they were confirmed. Judging by the announced characteristics, VR 2 will surpass the last device in everything.
The device has a lot of advantages. OLED display with a resolution of 2000×2040. Support for 4K resolution with HDR mode. Refresh rate of 90 Hz or 120 Hz. Field of view of approximately 110 degrees. Four cameras on the helmet and one camera on the controllers for eye tracking.
