ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is unveiling a slew of new gamer devices at their “Age of Gamers” presentation at CES 2022. In an era where PC gaming has grown from an unpopular hobby to a way of life, the leader in gamer technology development, the Republic of Gamers brand is proud to present new gaming solutions. In 2022, ROG devices are armed with a new operating system, new Intel and AMD processors, new AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards – and ready to surprise with new form factors. Today we will look at what interesting company ASUS prepared for us to see what we can expect this year, what will be the devices, models, designs and new solutions from a large company with a huge army of fans.

Right at the beginning of this year there is another CES 2022, which sets the current trends right from the beginning of the coming year, and everyone is impressed by it for a very long time, especially when there is something to look at. This time a lot of really interesting things happened and there were completely new devices that will be trend-setting for years to come.

ROG Flow Z13 – the world’s most powerful gaming tablet – is the latest addition to the ROG Flow family of compact gaming devices. It features an Intel Core i9-12900H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti notebook graphics card with display multiplexer, and 5200 MHz LPDDR5 memory, offering superior gaming performance in an ultra-slim and lightweight package. The hardware is complemented by a 1TB PCIe SSD, display multiplexer, unique cooling system with evaporation chamber and support for fast charging via USB Type-C port.

Two display options are also available for this device: one with 4K resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate and 85% DCI-P3 color density, and one with Full-HD resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color density. Both displays feature a 16:10 aspect ratio, touch support and Corning Gorilla protective glass, and other benefits include Adaptive-Sync support, 500 cd/m2 peak brightness and Pantone Validated certification. Both versions of the ROG Flow Z13 also support Dolby Vision.

ROG Flow Z13 lets you use your traditional mouse and the keyboard, touchpad, or gamepad built into the case to control your gaming experience. Because the tablet’s form factor means all major components are behind the screen, rather than under the keyboard like conventional notebooks, more cool air flows to the components, and an intelligent cooling system does a great job of maintaining high performance.

ROG Flow Z13 takes a retro-futuristic design inspired by the 20th century space race, but it’s also true to ROG’s vision of the future of gaming, with absolute portability as one of its key attributes. The back panel is perforated to reveal the tablet’s interior and features a space-age-inspired design. Built-in hinged stand allows you to set the device at an angle of up to 170 degrees.
The updated 2022 version is based on the latest AMD Ryzen 9 6000-series processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti notebook graphics card for maximum hardware configuration on the ROG Flow X13 notebook.

Both the new Flow Z13 tablet and the updated 2022 version of the Flow X13 notebook are compatible with the XG Mobile external graphics docking stations for maximum gaming performance and connectivity of all kinds of peripherals. The XG Mobile dock, introduced in 2021, features an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, while the 2022 version of the same series includes an AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT graphics card, as well as a host of ports: USB, DisplayPort, HDMI and Ethernet – for everything.

The Flow Z13 Transformative Gaming Tablet offers a level of portability and versatility never before seen in a gaming PC, while the updated Zephyrus Duo 16, Zephyrus G14 and Strix Series notebooks in the new form factor are improved versions of global favorites. In addition, ROG is introducing a new series of Archer gaming bags and backpacks, and an updated version of the ROG Citadel XV open-access virtual space, where anyone can learn more about all of ROG’s new products.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX notebook graphics cards are based on the Ampere architecture and feature unprecedented gaming performance due to their improved processing cores, including 2nd generation RT cores and 3rd generation tensor cores, and anti-aliasing technology with NVIDIA DLSS deep learning algorithms.

The new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti notebook graphics card is introduced for the first time in a portable device. With 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, the fastest memory ever built into a notebook, it delivers more performance than the TITAN RTX GPU for desktop PCs. The new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is 70% faster than the RTX 2070 SUPER, and is capable of delivering a hundred frames per second at 1440p resolution.

They also feature fourth-generation Max-Q technologies (CPU Optimizer, Rapid Core Scaling, Battery Boost 2.0) for higher power efficiency, faster performance, and longer battery life.

ROG Zephyrus G14, G15 and M16

The ROG Zephyrus G14 notebook is a powerful gaming machine in a stylish ultra-portable package. This model, which has previously earned many admired reviews, has received a number of improvements in the updated 2022 version. The new Zephyrus G14 comes pre-installed with Windows 11 operating system, and the basis of the maximum hardware configuration is an AMD Ryzen 9-series processor and AMD Radeon RX 6000S Series notebook graphics card with display multiplexer for extremely high frame rates in games. ROG’s intelligent cooling system, including a liquid metal thermal interface and specially designed evaporation chamber, helps maintain superior performance of powerful components, while new DDR5 RAM modules and a 1TB PCIe SSD ensure fast multitasking of the entire system.

This ultra-portable and incredibly powerful notebook is designed to be a delight to look at. It’s available in both dark gray (Eclipse Gray) and light gray (Moonlight White) with a prismatic badge finish that shimmers beautifully in different shades depending on the light. The notebook’s display cover features a perforation of 14,969 tiny holes, and configurations with the optional AniMe Matrix display, already the most recognizable feature of this notebook, include 1,449 mini LEDs. The increased number of LEDs on the Matrix display compared to last year’s model means even more opportunities to show images and animations on it.

The Zephyrus G14 is one of the first ROG notebooks to feature the new Nebula display, with 120Hz refresh rate at QHD resolution, 500 cd/m2 peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage and 3ms response time. Other advantages of this display include support for Adaptive Sync and Dolby Vision technology and Pantone Validated certification, so superior color reproduction and a smooth gaming experience are guaranteed. The 16:10 aspect ratio means the working area is larger in height, and the minimal width of the frame has made the device’s body extremely compact. The relative screen area is 91%.

Dolby Atmos audio, a 3D microphone array and dual-sided smart noise cancellation ensure excellent voice quality and excellent wireless connectivity with the latest WiFi 6E. The ROG Zephyrus G15 and M16 notebooks are also available in 2022 upgrades with the latest AMD and NVIDIA components, DDR5 RAM and WiFi 6E controller.

ROG Zephyrus Duo 16

The ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 gaming laptop with an additional screen in the updated 2022 version offers even more innovation. The optional ROG ScreenPad Plus allows you to significantly expand your workspace. For example, you can display streaming controls on it while you play on the main screen. With compatible games, such as Dying Light 2, you can also apply a portion of the gameplay experience to the sub-display to give you a richer control experience. When you open the notebook lid, a new pivot lifts the optional ScreenPad Plus display and slides it back closer to the main screen, creating an almost single workspace.

The device comes preloaded with Windows 11, and its maximum hardware configuration includes an AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti notebook graphics card (150W thermal package with Dynamic Boost technology). The use of Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal as the thermal interface of the processor reduced its operating temperature by 15 degrees compared to conventional thermal paste. An enhanced version of the AAS Plus 2.0 active aerodynamic cooling system opens the air intake under an additional screen, increasing airflow by 30 percent to cool powerful components even more efficiently and maintain their high performance throughout gameplay or media creation applications. The dedicated display multiplexer allows you to switch to direct output mode from your discrete graphics card to get maximum graphics performance in competitive games.

The updated Zephyrus Duo laptop is available in configurations with two types of displays, both of which support Dolby Vision. The first is the ROG Nebula HDR display, new for 2022. This display has all the features of the standard Nebula, but with mini-LED backlighting and 512 local dimming zones so that it can reach 1,100 cd/m2 of peak brightness and stunning contrast levels and color accuracy. It offers QHD resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 165Hz refresh rate, 100000:1 contrast ratio and is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified. The Nebula HDR display is unmatched for HDR gaming and high quality movie watching.

In another configuration version, this notebook is equipped with a new dual-variant display developed in cooperation with BOE. This display allows you to switch between high resolution (4K/120 Hz) or high screen refresh rate (Full-HD/240 Hz). Thus, the user decides which features are a priority for him at any given time. Pixel acceleration technology ensures blazing-fast screen response in Full-HD mode to give you the edge in fast-paced competitive games.

The touchpad on this unique notebook features the ROG NumberPad, a 1.7mm touchpad with individual backlighting for each key. The audio system has six built-in speakers, including bass, and supports high-definition audio format (Hi-Res Audio) and Dolby Atmos technology. For crystal clear voice communication, this flagship model is also equipped with two-way intelligent noise cancellation technology. Despite such an impressive set of technologies and two displays, the updated Zephyrus Duo 16 2022 is even more compact than the previous generation model. With a 16-inch screen diagonal, the Zephyrus Duo 16 has the same body size as the regular 15-inch models.

ROG Strix Scar and Strix G

The new ROG Strix Scar notebooks are built with eager and passionate gamers in mind. Loaded with top-of-the-line gaming components, these Windows 11-powered devices offer high refresh rate displays and feature ROG’s intelligent Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal cooling system as a thermal interface. The core of the Strix Scar notebook’s maximum hardware configuration is a 12th generation Intel Core i9-12900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti notebook graphics card (150W thermal package with Dynamic Boost technology), an ideal combination for high refresh rate gaming. A dedicated display multiplexer helps unlock the potential of a powerful GPU, drives are connected via high-speed PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, and the large amount of RAM represented by the latest 4800 MHz DDR5 modules ensures fast multitasking.

The Strix Scar Series includes notebooks with 15- and 17-inch screens, and for 15-inch models, you can choose from three IPS display options: QHD/240Hz, Full-HD/300Hz, or QHD/165Hz. For the 17-inch Strix Scar notebook, display options are available in QHD resolution and 240Hz refresh rate or Full-HD resolution and 360Hz refresh rate. For all display options, Strix Scar laptops support Dolby Vision HDR and Adaptive Sync, so you get a superior gaming experience. The short response time of 3ms means fast-moving objects appear sharp on-screen, especially important in fast-paced shooters.

The oversized touchpad lets you control your cursor even when your notebook isn’t equipped with a mouse. ROG Strix notebooks feature a simulated cyber-sport theme with dot patterns, and customizable RGB backlighting for unique accents, as well as Aura Sync illumination on the front of the notebook, and interchangeable decorative covers for the notebook’s casing.

The new ROG Strix G15 and G17 notebook models include the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti notebook graphics card (150W thermal package with Dynamic Boost technology) as standard features. The G15 is available with two display options: Full-HD resolution and 300Hz refresh rate or a QHD/165Hz version. The G17 is available in Full-HD resolution and refresh rate of 360 Hz or QHD and 240 Hz, either of which are great for eSports and competitive gaming. All Strix G notebook display versions have a 3ms response time, Dolby Vision and Adaptive-Sync support. Strix G laptops are available in three body finishes: a classic dark gray (Eclipse Gray) and vibrant neon green and pink (Volt Green and Electro Punk) that won’t go unnoticed.

All Strix notebook models boast excellent and clear sound thanks to a four-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos surround sound technology. Intelligent two-way intelligent noise cancellation effectively filters out unwanted background noise in incoming and outgoing audio, leaving only the clear, crystal-clear voice of the user and their companions.

The Strix Series laptops feature a 90Wh battery and 100W Type-C port charging technology, perfect for when you need to recharge on the go. Built-in WiFi 6E and a 2.5G LAN controller provide the superior wireless and wired Internet connectivity needed for competitive gaming.
