NEXON has announced a list of video games planned to be released in 2022 for the Korean and global markets. Among them are projects of various genres, from racing arcades to fighting games and MMORPGs. Some of them have already passed tests in 2021.
Dungeon & Fighter Mobile
Dungeon & Fighter Mobile is a mobile RPG based on Dungeon Fighter Online’s PC game. It will be released in the first quarter of 2022.
Mabinogi Mobile is a mobile version of the popular Korean MMORPG Mabinogi. The project will have improved graphics compared to a PC game and will offer an extensive list of features such as social interactions such as weddings, meetings, and more.
Tales Weaver: Second Run
Tales Weaver: Second Run is the mobile PC version of Tales Weaver. It will have the same plot and capabilities, and in some ways, even surpass the 18-year-old original.
KartRider: Drift is a racing arcade game in the style of Mario Kart, where you need to outrun your opponents in mini-cars and pick up various bonuses on the way. The latter can turn the outcome of even the most losing race.
ARC Raiders is a free co-op third-person shooter from Embark Studios, where players will fight giant robots. Let us note that Embark Studios presented their new co-op shooter Arc Raiders at The Game Awards 2021. Numerous former employees of Battlefield developer DICE are involved in the development, including Patrick Söderlund, a former EA boss.
DNF Duel is a cartoon-style 2.5D action fighting game based on NEXON’s 16-year-old Dungeon and Fighter franchise.
Project ER is a multi-platform MMORPG set in a fantasy setting. It was not heard about it in 2021, so most likely, in early 2022, the first tests will pass, and the release itself will take place after the fall.
HIT 2 is one of the most anticipated mobile titles in the MMORPG genre among Korean gamers. The game should inherit the gameplay of the first part with some improvements.
Project D is a third-person multiplayer shooter that is a mixture of Valorant, Counter-Strike, and Rogue Company. Like previous projects, it should appear in 2022.
An impressive list of new titles considering more and more titles are being moved or canceled altogether due to the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, another game publisher and developer, Saber Interactive, shared its plans for 2022. Among the announced projects were both new names and an already known series.
