The Game Awards: “Four or Five” Elden Ring level premieres

The Game Awards host, Geoff Keighley, gave an interview in which he shared some details of the upcoming ceremony.

According to Keighley, the audience will see “four or five” premieres at the Elden Ring level this year. In addition, as previously reported, the show promises to demonstrate the potential of the current consoles generation. This suggests that “at least one or two big premieres for the PS5 or Xbox Series X are expected.”

In June of this year, after two years of people begging for it at Keighley’s shows, the first gameplay trailer for Elden Ring, the next game by From Software, the Dark Souls series developer, was shown.

I was very happy because the trailer was great. It was a great asset, a highly anticipated game that really delivered. There were a lot of things that were good about that so yes, I was uniquely excited to be able to bring that to people. This year? Oh, God, there are probably four or five things of that level.

Keighley also noted that this year, big news should be expected already “in the first 30-45 minutes” of the event.

It is noteworthy that Keighley often reads fans’ guesses on the Internet – apparently, most of the rumours are wrong – but he¬†knows what games people are hoping to see.
Mind that the event will take place on December 9, but viewers are advised to gather half an hour before starting. In the meantime, the second round of user voting for the best game of this year has begun on The Game Awards website.
