Activision and Raven Software have published a release trailer for the new Caldera map, which will appear this week in Call of Duty: Warzone. The new location will replace Verdansk, which has been, frankly speaking, an eyesore since the beginning of 2020.
Players are waiting for an island in the Pacific Ocean, to which the remnants of the fascists escaped and are going to revive the Reich. The fictional special forces group needs to deal with the remnants of the Axis and put an end to the villains.
The attributes of the Pacific setting are in place: pristine beaches, some ancient ruins, a chain of caves, docks, an arsenal, deep mines, rice fields, a volcano. All in all, there are 15 essential points on the map and dozens of less interesting places in which intense battles will take place.
Along with the map’s launch, 40 new weapons will appear in Warzone, operators from the Vanguard, balance changes and other vital changes in the game. It will even be possible to participate in dogfights from a fighter’s cockpit POV.
The players were also presented with a roadmap of the content of Warzone and Vanguard Season 1.
